My boss mentioned on Monday that her daughter had lost her first tooth. This led to a discussion between the assembled group about visits from the tooth fairy as we were growing up. As it turns out, the tooth fairy whose route includes my boss' house leaves $5 for each tooth. We were all surprised. An informal poll of the group showed that most tooth fairies left $0.25 per tooth.
Which goes to show inflation hits even the tooth fairy service.
